A New Hippeastrum Cultivar‘Chunse’

Abstract: ‘Chunse’is a new excellent Hippeastrum cultivar which is derived from H.‘Papilio’as seed parent and H.‘Spotlight’as pollen parent. The average plant height of the cultivar is 72 cm. The height of inflorescence stem is 60.1 cm. The flower is simple with six petals,and the flower diameter was 17 cm. The color of the petal outside is blood-red,and the color of the petal inside is light-green. The full-blossom of a inflorescence is 14.2 d and individual flowers last for 7.8 d. In the greenhouse of the Hangzhou,the natural flowering period is from April to May. This cultivar can be used as potted plants or cut flowers,and it’s suitable for indoor and greenhouse cultivation.
