Abstract: ‘Cuifeng’is a new seed lotus cultivar developed by using the F₁ generation of‘Jianxuan 17’בXinghuang’as the male parent and then backcrossing it with‘Jianxuan 17’. The fresh receptacle is yellow-green，oblate . The average carpel number per receptacle is 32–35 and the rate of seed setting is 82.1%. The fresh fruit is yellow-green，ellipse，yellow brown fruit stage single grain weight 4.4 g. The number of efficacious receptacle is 79.5–87.0 thousand per hectare，and the yield of peeled and cored seeds is about 1 350 kg · hm^-2，or 2 850 kg · hm^-2 of dried seeds. The dry matter content of the lotus seeds at the yellow brown stage is 37.7%，the protein content is 7.65%，the soluble sugar content is 2.59%，and the starch content is 21.7%. It is suitable for processing and cultivation in the Yangtze River basin and its south area.
