Abstract: Eleven multi-variant morphological traits, often used for DUS(Distinctness,Uniformity and Stability)test,of 42 cultivars of cut chrysanthemum were recorded for cluster analysis in order to assess their genetic relationships. And also the effectiveness of this method for assessing the genetic relationship was evaluated,in comparison with the origins and breeding backgrounds of the investigated cultivars. The results indicated that there existed considerable diversities in the 42 cut chrysanthemum cultivars considering the recorded DUS testing traits. The cluster analysis based on the morphological data indicated that the genetic relationships among the investigated cultivars of cut chrysanthemum could be accurately uncovered using the average pair-wise distances between groups.
