A New Strawberry Cultivar‘Jingyu’

Abstract: ‘Jingyu’is a new early-maturing strawberry cultivar,which is selected from the crossing of‘Sweet Charlie’בJingyao’. It ripens in early December in plastic house in Hubei,China. The fruit shape is length-coniform or wedge and its surface is bright red. The average weight of its first and second grade fruit is 21.5 g. The fruit is well-uniformity and regular. The fragrant flesh is smooth and soft. Its soluble solids content is 11.8%,vitamin C content is 450.7 mg · g-1,total sugar content is 8.46%,total acid content is 0.44%,and the fruit firmness is 0.348 kg · cm-2. It has strong resistance to anthracnose and powdery mildew. The average yield is over 30 000 kg · hm-2.
