Abstract: An efficient and simple method for shoots regeneration from in vitro leaves of ‘Gisela 5’ and ‘Gisela 6’ (Pruns cerasus×P.canescens)was developed.Factors influencing in vitro leaf regeneration were studied. The ability to regenerate shoot from in vitro leaves of‘Gisela 6’ was much greater than that of ‘Gisela 5’:Optimal results were obtained by culturing leaves adaxial side down on WPM medium containing BA 5 mg/L+IBA 0.5 mg/L and BA 7 mg/L+IBA 0.3 mg/L respectively in the dark for 15 days.Shoot regeneration rate of ‘Gisela 6’ reached up to 10o% and that of ‘Gisela 5’ was 75.1% .The regeneration shoot was easy to rooting and to transplant to the field.
