Analysis of Isozyme in Varieties and Cultivars of Cymbidium sinense and Cym bidium goeringii

Abstract: Five isozyme systems, EST, ME, PGI( NADP) , PGM( NAD) and SOD, were used to study the variation of isozyme in varieties and cult ivars of Cymbidium sinense and C. goeringii as well as the relationships a mong these taxa. Eleven loci were generated. Seven of them were polymorphic. EST, PGM( NAD) , SOD were polymorphic, two of them could be used to distinguish all of varieties and cultivars. The result showed that these isozyme systems could be used to distinguish cult ivars and varieties clearly, and these cultivars and varieties were divided into C. goeringii and C. sinense.
