Abstract: The new cultivar‘Fengran 6’was obtained through cultivation and domestication,asexual propagation,and selective breeding of specific plants screened from the natural forests of Lonicera caerulea L. var. edulis Turcz. ex Herd. It is a deciduous shrub with a flat plant form. The young shoots are glabrous and purplish red,the old branches are reddish brown. The leaves are sparsely hairy,with slightly revolute margins. The fruit is obovate to ovate-elliptic,with an uneven surface,blue-purple in color,covered with white bloom. The fruit skin is thick and tough. The fruit diameter is 0.8-1.2 cm,the fruit length is 2.0-2.6 cm,and the single-fruit weight is 1.0-1.5 g. It has a sweet and sour taste with a fresh aroma. The total anthocyanin content of its fresh fruit is 5.52 mg · g^-1. In the Harbin area,the fruit ripens in mid-to late June and does not fall off easily. During the high-yield period,the yield is 4 000-5 000 kg · hm^-2. It is cold-resistant,resistant to late frost and late freeze,has moderate drought-resistance,prefers a moist environment but is intolerant to waterlogging. It is suitable for cultivation in Northeast China and regions with similar environments.
