Abstract: Epidermal and anatomical characters Ofleaves 0t Viburnum rhytidoph3 llum have been observed
by the light and scanning electron microscope. The result shows that it has strongly relationship between nor—
phological and anatomical structure and its ecological adaptability to dry and coo]environments in the north of
China.Further, the key ecological facts of successful introduction and the utilizing prospect as evergreen
shrubs in landscape of northern cities in China were discussed.
