Abstract: ‘Jingmei 2k’ is a new early-maturing，high quality and anti-cracking watermelon F₁ hybrid with long time storage. The plant grows soundly and easy for bearing fruit. It is takes about 90 days from sowing to harvesting and 28–30 days from flowering to fruiting. Its fruit is elliptical and covered by wax. Rind is green with dark green narrow stripes. The average weight of single fruit is 2 kg. Its flesh is red，crisp and flavor. The soluble solids content（SSC）in centre is 13%. Its mesocarp is hard，and the thickness is 0.5–0.8 cm. The fruit is anti-crack and anti-water soaking，which is suitable for long shelf life.‘Jingmei 2k’is suitable for protected or open field with film protected cultivation.
