Advances in Ploidy Breeding of Fruit Trees

Abstract

Abstract: The research advances and achievements on ploidy breeding in fruit trees were summarized，including haploid creation paths and its application，polyploid induction methods，ways of asexual and sexual polyploidy breeding，purification of mixploids，ploidy identification，genetic mechanism of polyploidy，effects of polyploidization on development and stress resistance，etc. Furthermore，the main problems，countermeasure and prospects of fruit tree ploidy breeding were also put forward based on authors’ ploidy breeding practices and experiences.
