Some Physiological and Biochemical Changes of Embryo Abortion in Hybridsof Seedless Grapes and Chinese Wild Grapes

Abstract: Ovules f rom seedless grapes , seeded grapes and hybrids ( Seedless grapes ×Chinese wild grapes) were cultivated in vit ro. Some phytochemical component s in ovules were determined. Embryo abortion development was different in cultivars and hybrids. When ovules began aborting , MDA increased. at the same time , protective enzymes , soluble sugar and protein decreased. But soluble starch changed less. The berry harvest time is determined by the cultivars and cross combinations. This affects the timing of embryo rescue. The best time for embryo rescue is at the time when embryo development is best and MDA activity is low.
