A New Vegetable Soybean Cultivar‘Chuanxiandou 7’

Abstract: ‘Chuanxiandou 7’is a new vegetable soybean cultivar developed through pedigree selection from a cross between the female parent‘Kuixian 1’and male parent‘Lübaozhu’. The growth period,from seedling emergence to fresh pod harvest lasts 80.6 days. The cultivar exhibits a determinate podding habit and a compact plant architecture,with an average plant height of 42.6 cm,9.5 nodes on the main stem,and 3.4 effective branches. Each plant produces 21.3 effective pods,with 56.4 g pods weight per plant. Each 500 g sample contains 153.3 standard pods,among them standard two-seeded pods measuring 5.2 cm × 1.4 cm in length and width. The standard pod rate is 78.1%. The fresh weight of 100 seeds is 89.0 g,and the average fresh pod yield is 13 946 kg · hm-2. This cultivar is characterized by high yield,excellent quality. Furthermore,it demonstrates moderate resistance to soybean mosaic virus,making it well-suited for open-field spring cultivation across various regions of Sichuan Province.
