A New Strawberry Cultivar‘Shuxing’

Abstract: ‘Shuxing’strawberry is a new cultivar bred by crossing‘Parajatan’and‘Benihoppe’. The fruit is conical in shape with a strong luster. The average single fruit weight from primary inflorescences is 30 g,with a soluble solids content of 11.23%,total acid content of 0.59 %,and vitamin C content of 814 mg · kg-1. It is suitable for planting in the main strawberry-growing areas of Sichuan and similar habitats. Seedlings are planted in early September,the first flowers appear in early November,and the fruits begin to ripen in late November,with a harvesting period of 6 months. The planting density is 97 500 plants per hectare,and the yield is approximately 37 500 kg per hectare.
