Abstract: ‘Zhongtian Hongxiaoxian’is an early-maturing，high-quality F₁ hybrid melon cultivar（Q196a × W163）. The fruit is ellipsoidal in shape，with a deep yellow rind and ten distinct light yellow longitudinal grooves on the surface. The weight of single fruit is approximately 1.5 kg. The flesh is orange-red，measuring 3.0 cm in thickness，and possesses a crisp texture. The central soluble solids content around 16.8%，and the peripheral content is approximately 11.5%. The entire growth period is about 85 days，and the fruit development period is about 28 days. The average yield is about 43 875 kg · hm^-2.‘Zhongtian Hongxiaoxian’is well-suited for cultivation under protected conditions and in open filed during spring in Northern China.
