Abstract: ‘Jinzhongyuan Jintian’is a new F₁ hybrid muskmelon developed by crossing inbred line XD-001 as female parent and XD-005 as male parent. The whole growth period is 96 days and the fruit development period is about 36 days. The fruit is oval with a yellow skin covered by 10–12 silver light green grooves. The surface of the fruit is smooth and shiny，and the flesh is orange. The flesh is tender，sweet，and crisp，with a thick flavour. The content of soluble solids in the center is about 17.4%. The average single fruit weight is 1.51 kg，and the average yield is 65 700 kg · hm^-2. The cultivar is resistant to powdery mildew，downy mildew，and low temperature and weak light. It is suitable for spring and autumn planting in area of Anhui，Shandong，Henan，Jiangsu，Zhejiang，Shanxi，and Gansu Provinces.
