Abstract: ‘Cuimi’is a new medium ripening watermelon cultiver with selfing line JZ406 as the female parent and selfing line F098 as the male parent. The fruit development period is 32 days and the whole growth period is 93 days. The fruit is of round shape，and its peel is green covered with green strips，1.28 cm in thickness，and 0.82 kg · cm^-2 in hardness. The flesh of the melon is red，and the mouthfeel is both sandy and crunchy. The soluble solids content in the center of the fruit reaches about 12.27%，while the sides are 8.00%. The single fruit weight is 7.90 kg，middle fruit type and the average yield of 55 191.8 kg · hm^-2. The plant growth vigor is strong. It is easy to bear fruit. It is suitable for cultivation of spring and summer in Jiangxi and Hubei provinces.
