Abstract: In vitro polyploid plants of Anthurium andraeanum‘Dakota’were induced by using oryzalin, trifluralin and colchicine with different concentrations and treatment duration. The results showed that there were significant differences among different inducers. For oryzalin, maximum induction rate was 48.72% and the plants death rate was 14.58% at 15 mg ? L-1 level. Trifluralin, the maximum induction rate was 71.79% at 100 mg ? L-1 level with just 16.67% death rate. As colchicine, the highest induction rate 62.96% while the death rate reached up to 31.11% at 0.5% level.
