Abstract: By investigating and specimen consulting and literatures searching, morphological characters and variations of diferent populations of every species，interspecies hybrids and a ginal cultivated type seedling‘Fengdanbai’ in Sect． Moutan Subsect Vagiatae were systematically observed and described． According to the results，the authors put forward some classificatory characters，genetic rules of purple blotches at the base of petals and color of flower disc an d filaments， and drew a conclusion that plentiful variations of cultivated tree-peony comeing from hybridizntion of wild species．Classificatory degree of Paeonia yananensis and P.rockii sp.linyanshanii were also discussed． Finally，morphological evolvement trends in the subsect were elementarily analysed.
