A New Dendrobium Cultivar‘Xiaotaohong’

Abstract: The new Dendrobium cultivar‘Xiaotaohong’is derived from the cross of Den.‘Udomsri Beauty’and Den.‘Enobi Purple’. It’s characterized by the dwarf plant habit with an average plant height of 24.9 cm. There are 15 flowers per inflorescence on average. The flower is light purple in color,4.3 cm in length and 4.7 cm in width. The average flowering period of an inflorescence is about 2–3 months and anthesis of a single flower is 40 d. It’s suitable for greenhouse cultivation in South China.
