A New Mango Cultivar‘Hongyu’

Abstract: ‘Hongyu’is a new mango cultivar selected from local cultivar in Hainan. The fruit is oblong,with an average fruit weight of 333.8 g and a fruit shape index of 1.37 to 1.56. The surface of the fruit is smooth and clean with fruit powder,and the fruit dot is sparse and large. The mature fruit peel is smooth and yellow. The flesh is orange-yellow,dense,fine,with less fiber. The edible rate is 62.8%,the soluble solids content is 15.4%,and the vitamin C content is 110.5 mg • kg-1. It has hight quality,good flavor and good storability. The yield is 21 000–47 000 kg • hm-2.
