Abstract: Petunia‘Huacheng Bai’is a new F₁ cultivar obtained by the hybridization of selfing line W-2 as the female parent and selfing line HC-1 as the male parent. The plant is compact,with strong growth vigor and dark green leaves. The flowers are medium-sized,with an overall creamy white color and a yellow-green throat. The corolla is funnel-shaped,with wave-like ruffled petal edges. It can bloom throughout the year when the temperature is suitable. The cultivar has strong resistance to stem rot and damping-off diseases,as well as excellent heat and humidity tolerance,withstanding temperatures up to approximately 40 ℃. It also shows moderate cold hardiness,tolerating low temperatures above-5 ℃. It is well-suited for cultivation in South China and can be used for flower beds,borders,or potted ornamental display.
