Abstract: Petunia‘Yuehong’is a novel F₁ hybrid cultivar,bred by crossing the selfing line I-2 as the female parent with the selfing line J-1 as the male parent. It features vigorous growth,dark green leaves,and red large flowers with slightly ruffled corolla edges. It can bloom throughout the year when the temperature is suitable. The cultivar has strong resistance to stem rot and damping-off diseases,as well as excellent heat and humidity tolerance,withstanding temperatures up to approximately 40 ℃. It also shows moderate cold hardiness,tolerating low temperatures above-5 ℃. It is well-suited for cultivation in South China and can be used for flower beds,borders,or potted ornamental display.
