A New Cabbage Cultivar‘Yuyuan Chunyin’

Abstract: ‘Yuyuan Chunyin’is a new late-winter crisp cabbage hybrid developed by the cross of cytoplasmic male sterile line HS-5-2-2-1BC5 and superior inbred line SL-3-1-2-1-1. The plant is semi- erect,and the green leaf has little wax powder. The leaf head is flat circular,brilliant green,crisp and sweet. The single ball weight is about 3.0 kg. The cultivar shows good comprehensive resistance in the field. The growing period from transplantation to harvest is about 110 days in late winter in Pingba,Chongqing. It is marketed from late December to early February,meeting the off-season market demand of spring vegetable supply in Chongqing.
