Abstract: ‘Taiyu’was selected from a bud mutation of‘Bruno’in Taishun County,Zhejiang Province. It has a germination rate of 55.29%,a flowering shoot rate of 79.69%,and a fruit set rate of 83.29%. The flowers are white,predominantly solitary,with a corolla diameter of 4.94 cm,5-8 petals,and 4-6 green sepals. The filaments are pale green,and the anthers are yellow,averaging 125 in number. The stigma is white,averaging 29 in number. In the Taishun area of Zhejiang,it blooms in late April,with a flowering period of 5-7 days. The fruits mature in mid-to-late October,with high yield of 22 500 kg · hm^-2 in the full fruit stage. It is suitable for cultivation in kiwifruit-producing areas such as Zhejiang and Hubei.
