A New Kiwifruit Cultivar‘Dengmi 1’

Abstract: ‘Dengmi 1’is a new kiwifruit(Actinidia deliciosa)cultivar selected from wild germplasm resources in Shizong County,Yunnan Province. The fruit is cylindrical in shape with an elliptical cross-section and an obtusely convex beak end. The skin is greenish-brown,covered with stiff hairs,and easy to peel. The flesh is light green with red coloration near the stem end,offering a balanced sweet and sour taste. It contains 12.4% soluble solids,13.2% dry matter,6.65% soluble sugar,and 1.90% titratable acid. The vitamin C content is approximately 0.625 mg · g-1 of fresh weight. This cultivar exhibits high resistance to bacterial canker,blight,and flower rot. The harvest season ranges from late September to early October. The total yield per hectares is approximately 15 230 kg · hm-2. It is well-suited for cultivation in areas of Qujing City,Yunnan Province,at altitudes of 1 700-2 400 m and with an annual average temperature of 13-15 ℃.
