Abstract: Fruit mulberry cultivar‘Zhuyu 1’is bred via systematic asexual selection from a wild mulberry population in Daliangzi Village,Harbin. It exhibits a dwarf growth habit,with five-year-old grafted trees reaching approximately 2.5 m in height. It produces abundant lateral branches,with up to 25 new shoots per annual branch. The cultivar demonstrates strong cold hardiness,withstanding temperatures down to-35 ℃. The fruits are small and black. The fruit has a thick peel,is tolerant to mechanical damage,and is well-suited for processing. The average fruit production is 11 290.7 kg · hm^-2. The fruits exhibit no sunburn damage. This cultivar is suitable for cultivation in high-cold regions such as Heilongjiang Province,Jilin Province,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,and Qinghai Province etc.
