Abstract: ‘Lingxiu 5’is a new hybrid generation broccoli cultivar bred by using the cytoplasmic male sterile line DA220-3-7-3-1-3-1-1 CMS as the female parent and the inbred line LN13-1-2-4-2-1-2-1 as the male parent. It has an upright plant type and thick leaves with strong stress resistance. It is suitable for close planting. The curd is semicircular，dark green，does not turn purple at low temperatures，and the bud grains are medium fine and uniform. The content of sulforaphane in fresh curd is 557 μg · g^-1. The main stem is not easy to be hollow. It has strong resistance to black rot，black spot diseases and strong resistance to continuous rainy days. The average single ball weight is 0.61 kg. In spring，it takes about 65 days from planting to harvest，and about 80 days in autumn. The average yield is 22 880 kg · hm^-2. It is suitable for planting in spring and autumn in North China.
