A New Taraxacum mongolicum Cultivar‘Cangpu 2’

Abstract: ‘Cangpu 2’is a new Taraxacum mongolicum cultivar,which was systematically selected from the wild germplasm of dandelion. The plant grows robustly,has strong erectness and compact plant morphology. The leaves are long-narrow and inverted-lanceolate in shape,and the leaf edges of some leaves are undulate teeth or are feathered deep cleft. The leaves are dark green in color,and the leaf bases are white-green or slightly red;the average length of the leaves is 26.8 cm,the width is 4.3 cm,and the average number of leaves per plant is 41.6. It has a crispy and tender taste,with a cellulose content of 340 mg · g-1. It has high yield,good quality,and resistance to powdery mildew. The average yield reaches 21 750.0 kg · hm-2,and it is suitable for planting in Cangzhou City,Hebei Province and similar ecological regions.
