Abstract: ‘Yuanhua’is a new variety selected from the natural single plants of Sapindus mukorossi in Jianning County，Sanming City，Fujian Province. The fruiting branches are in the shape of long whiskers，and the fruits and seeds are significantly smaller than those of common S. mukorossi. The flowers，leaves，fruits and branches all have good ornamental value. The mass of 100 fruits is196.15 g，the mass of the peels of 100 fruits is 108.44 g，and the mass of 100 seeds is 87.11 g. The saponin content in the peels is 11.24%，and the oil content in the kernels is as high as 43.50%. The yield of the three-year-old forest can reach 1 500 kg · hm^-2，which is suitable for planting in subtropical areas such as Fujian and Jiangxi.
