A New Iris Cultivar‘Yuan Ke’

Abstract: ‘Yuan Ke’is a new Iris germanica cultivar,derived from the hybrid of female parent Iris‘Imperator’and male parent Iris‘Mrs. Horace Darwin’. This plant is relatively short,reaching 55 cm in height,with unique flower shapes,the pendents are bent 90° in the middle and lower parts of the petals,the color is rare lavender pink(RHS 76A),the stem is upright. It blooms late,from late April to early May. It can be planted outdoors in the middle regions of the Yangtze River in China.
