A New Magnolia Cultivar‘Qinhe’

Abstract:

The new Magnolia Cultivar‘Qinhe’was obtained by artificial hybridization between M. liliiflora‘Hong Yuanbao’and M. virdula. Each single flower has perianth segments 9-11 and the shape is obovate,with dark purple powder on the outer surface(RHS colour chart 66D)and very light purple on the inner surface(RHS colour chart 73D). The flower bud has terminal and axillary.
