A New Flowering Chinese Cabbage Cultivar‘Yuetai 2’

Abstract: ‘Yuetai 2’is a new flowering Chinese cabbage cultivar derived from the cross of cytoplasmic male sterile line HY18A and the inbred line T-6. Its leaf is in long oval shape and green in color,25.8 cm in length and 14.0 cm in width. Main stalk is 40.5 cm in length,3.4 cm in diameter,weighing about 370.2 g,laurel-green in color. It taste crisp and sweet. The souble solids content is 5.3%,protein content is 2.24%,reducing sugar content is 1.9%,crude fibre content is 0.8%,and vitamin C content is 581 mg • kg-1. ‘Yuetai 2’showed strong adaptability and resistance. It is suitable for producing at autumn in Pearl River Delta Region and it takes 54 d from sowing to harvest.
