Abstract: ‘Yuanchun’resulted from an open pollenation of 96-6-27 which is from the cross Mantianhong（Pruns persica Batsch.）× Baihuashanbitao（P. davidiana Franch）. The seed was produced by stratification，and then cultivated in the greenhouse. The flower is red and bright-colored. The chilling requirement is 550 h，and the heat requirement is lower，the blossom is early and able to make up the absence of red peach flower in the early spring. Cultivated in greenhouse，it can bloom before Chinese Spring Festival.
