Identification of the Aroma Compounds in Seleng Wormwood by GasChromatography - Olfactometry

Abstract: The volatile compounds in seleng wormwood were extracted by using headspace solid phase micro-extraction technology and analyzed by both gas chromatography-olfactometry and gas chromatographymass spectrometry. There were totally twenty-one compounds identified. Based on the odor intensity, the most important aroma compound in seleng wormwood was trans-2-hexenal, α-phellandrene, cis-ocimene, 3-thujanone, camphor, cucumber aldehyde, ( -) -borneol and ( -) -bornylacetate.
