The Effects of 6-BA on Multi-topbud Plant Growth of Dracaena sanderiana‘Virens’

Abstract: Application of 6-BA to branches of Dracaena sanderiana ‘Virens’defoliated and with growth points removed shows that 6-BA at different concentrations has significant differences in its effect on the number of top buds, percentage of multi-top bud plant (with three ormore top buds) , length and diameter of top
buds, growth in height and diameter of the stems, fresh root mass and qualified output rate. It also shows 6-BA at 60 mg·L - 1 as the best treatment concentration, at which the number of buds, percentage of multitop bud plant and qualified output rate can be significantly raised.
