Abstract: ‘Meigui Nüshen’is a new Chaenomeles crabapple cultivar which has been selected from the seedlings of Chaenomeles speciosa. biennial branches of the cultivar are thornless,the flowers are pink,has long pedicels,the petals are concave and curled inward initially,partially overlapping each other,resembling roses.the petals are broad and round,with wavy edges attached to the edge of the calyx tube,the petal claws are of medium length,flower diameter of 3-5 cm,and the cultivar exhibits semi-double flowers,which is significantly different from the Chaenomeles‘Changshouguan’. This cultivar has vigorous growth,moderately colored calyx tubes,prefers sunlight,and can tolerate dry and poor soil,the cultivar can be planted in North China,East China,Central China,and Southwest China etc.
