Abstract: ‘Wenwen’is a newly developed cultivar of Sapindus mukorossi, selected from a naturally distributed superior individual in Jianning County,Sanming City,Fujian Province, and propagated by grafting. Its flowering and fruiting phenology is delayed by 30-45 days compared with local germplasm. The fruit and seed exhibit oblate spheroid shapes, with transverse-to-lateral diameter ratios of 1.63 and 1.52,respectively. The weight of 100 fruits is 479.83 g,with the pericarp accounting for 342.15 g. The saponin content in the pericarp reaches 22.28%,and the kernel oil content is 37.00%. This cultivar shows a high grafting survival rate and begins to flower and fruit abundantly three years after grafting. It is suitable for cultivation and promotion in subtropical regions such as Fujian and Guangdong.
