Abstract: ‘Minyun’is a new flowering cherry cultivar selected from the seedlings of Prunus schneideriana. The flowers blossom before the leaves spreading. It blooms once a year. The inflorescence type is corymb. There are 4–7 flowers per inflorescence. The inflorescence peduncle is medium length. The flower pedicel is 0.9–1.4 cm long. There is indumentum in the flower pedicel. The flower diameter is medium. The shape of calyx tube is funnel-shaped. The color of calyx tube is reddish green with is 0.46–0.61 cm long. The sepals are reflexed. The shape of sepal is long ovate triangular. There are serrates in the sepal margin. The flower type is single petal. The number of petals of one flower is 5. The color of petals is pinkish red. The shape of petal is ovoid. The shape of petal base is shield-shaped. The apex of petal is two-lobed. There is no fold in the petal. The veins of petal are obvious. The length of petal is 1.2–1.5 cm. The width of petal is 0.6–0.9 cm. The thickness of petal is thin. There are flag petals. The position of petals is relatively intersect. The shape of corolla is flat disc. The height of pistil is medium and the height of the pistil is the same as the stamen. The pistil number is one. There is no foliated pistil. The stamens are long，numbering 39–44，with white filaments. The blossom date is during February to March in Fuzhou. It can be cultivated in central China，South China and Fujian Province.
