Abstract: The open-pollinated seeds of Malus‘Red Splender’were collected，and a new cultivar of crabapple Malus‘Ziyu’with early phenology and upright tree shape was selected. Its trees，flowers，leaves and fruits are ornamental value. The new crabapple cultivar Malus‘Ziyu’has crown type ovivate，new leaf red brown，pollen color，petal flattening diameter of 4 cm，small fruit，red fruit，the first flowering period in late March to mid-April，and the fruit period is medium.‘Ziyu’had high ornamental value. It is suitable for the landscaping.
