Abstract: Chionanthus retusus‘Qingbo’is a flowering tree species. The tree crown is oval shaped and the plant type is compact. The backbone branches are sparse, upright,and robust. Leaves are dark green,thinly leathery,long ovate. All flowers are male,clustered in a conical inflorescence,measuring 9.5-10.5 cm in length,with a fragrant aroma and a large number of flowers,with 45-55 flowers per inflorescence. The corolla is lanceolate,straight and elongated,and gradually pointed at the end. It has strong adaptability to light and resistance to weak light. Flowering without the phenomenon of large or small years.Sprout at the end of March to early April,flowers bloom in early May,and the flowering period lasts for 13-22 days. Leaves fall in mid November,and the green period lasts for 213-238 days.
