Abstract: The new non-heading Chinese cabbage cultivar‘Zhongshangqing 2’was developed through hybridization using the dwarf yellow type AJ-1-3-2 as the female parent and AL-3-7-2 as the male parent. The plant height is 15.4 cm and individual plant weight is 347.4 g,featuring compact plants with relatively short stature. Its leaves are nearly round and yellow-green in color,while the petioles are white,wide,and flat. The texture is soft and glutinous with excellent flavor. The nutritional composition includes a soluble sugar content of 0.51%,protein content of 22 g · kg^-1,vitamin C content of 526 mg · kg^-1,and total amino acid content of 13.7 g · kg^-1,with an average yield of 50 137.5 kg · hm^-2. It is suitable for both protected and open-field cultivation during autumn and spring in the Chengdu Plain and surrounding hilly regions.
