Abstract: ‘Lüchun 3’is a new cucumber F₁ hybrid of Southern China type developed by crossing inbredline 10047 as female parent and inbred line 123 as male parent. This cultivar is characterized by moderate vegetative growth. The fruit is columnar and about 18.00 cm in length,featuring yellow-green skin and green flesh. With the sweet and tender taste,it is ideal for fresh consumption with 93% percentage of marketable cucumbers. Minimum tolerable temperature is above 3 ℃,with exceptional adaptability to various cultivation environments. It is suitable for protected cultivation in Northeast China and Inner Mogolia. Under early spring greenhouse conditions,the cultivar achieves the yield of 80 000 kg · hm^-2.
