Abstract: ‘Chunxi’is a new excellent Hippeastrum cultivar which is derived from H.‘Papilio’as seed parent and H.‘Iguazuanum’as pollen parent. The average plant height of the cultivar is 61 cm. The height of inflorescence stem is 50 cm. The flower is simple with six petals,and the flower diameter was 16 cm. The color of the petal outside is red,and the color of the petal inside is light-green. The full-blossom of a inflorescence is 15.3 d and individual flowers last for 8.6 d. This cultivar is suitable for potted or cut flowers and can be cultivated indoors and in greenhouse facilities. The natural flowering period is from April to May.
