A New Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum Cultivar‘Desert Great Wall’

摘要: ‘大漠铜墙’(Chrysanthemum morifolium‘Desert Great Wall’)是以内蒙古阿拉善引种的灌木亚菊(Ajania fruticulosa)为母本和太行菊(Opisthopappus taihangensis)杂交获得的F2,与‘抓膘草’蓍状亚菊后代品种‘金色穹庐’(C. morifolium‘Golden Yurt’)杂交后再与超大冠幅品种‘太行龙湫’(C. morifolium‘Taihang Dragon Pool’)杂交,从其二年生后代中选育出的适口性好的地被菊新品种。植株株高通常0.8 m,冠幅可达1.5 m,分枝密集,株形半球形,花单瓣黄色,生长量大,抗逆性强,耐粗放管理,适宜于戈壁与半固定沙漠生态修复,干旱和半干旱地区城乡绿化,荒漠及荒漠草原及其矿山植被恢复等,京津冀边坡和屋顶绿化也可选用。

Abstract: A new ground-cover chrysanthemum cultivar‘Desert Great Wall’was bred through pyramid hybridization involving Ajania fruticulosa,introduced from Alxa,Inner Mongolia,and a paternal Opisthopappus taihangensis. This germplasm was successively crossed with‘Golden Yurt’and‘Taihang Dragon Pool’. At last the ground cover with better palatability was selected from one of the two-year-old progenies.‘Desert Great Wall’plants typically reach 0.8 m in height and 1.5 m in crown diameter,exhibiting a dense,hemispherical form with single yellow flowers. This cultivar demonstrates vigorous growth,strong stress tolerance,and low management requirements,making it suitable for ecological restoration in Gobi and semi-fixed deserts,arid-zone landscaping,degraded land rehabilitation,and slopes or green roofs in regions such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.
