Abstract: ‘Beimi 2’is a new F1 cultivar of Cucurbita moschata which was selected from the crossing inbred line‘12-43’and‘12-39’. The average single fruit weight is 1.5–2.5 kg. The rind color of the long pear-shape fruit is brown covered with 3–5 narrow green stripes from stalk to the middle surface of fruit. The nutrient and quality of fruit flesh is high with a sweet taste. The yield is high which is up to 4.413 kg · m-2. It is suitable for open cultivation in spring in Beijing.
