Abstract: ‘Gantong 1’is a new cultivar derived from variation of the natural hybridization seedlings of Cinnamomum camphora by individual plant selection. Its new leaves are orange and yellowish green or green in mature leaves in spring；In summer，the new leaves are yellowish green，and become light green and green when mature. New branches are light pink with dense white spots and purple base ring，then turn to bright red after semi-lignification. It is suitable for landscape forest or afforestation application in camphor tree growing area in the south of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river.
