A New Hybrid Cymbidium Cultivar‘Fuyun Danxia’

Abstract: ‘Fuyun Danxia’is a new cultivar of hybrid Cymbidium with Cymbidium hybridum‘Kenny’as female parent and Cymbidium sinense‘Pacific’as male parent. The pedicel is sub-erect,higher than leaves,58.0–68.0 cm long,with 15–22 flowers. The flower is fragrant with a diameter of 3.7–4.5 cm. The sepals and petals are magenta with dark red stripes,3.8–4.3 cm in vertical diameter and 1.3–1.5 cm in transverse diameter. The lip is pale yellow with dark red speckles,2.9–3.3 cm in vertical length and 1.8–2.0 cm in transverse length. The flowering period is from early February to late March. This cultivar has high ornamental value and broad prospects of commercial application.
