A New Plum Cultivar‘Yunkai 1’

Abstract: A new plum cultivar,‘Yunkai 1’(Prunus salicina),is selected from the bud sports of ‘Sanhuali’which is a local cultivar in China Guangdong. Single fruit weighs 49.4 to 57.2 g,with TSS 11.2% to 13.2%,TS 7.3% to 8.1%,TA 1.0% to 1.4%. The color of pericarp and flesh are both red. This new plum cultivar has the characteristics of large fruit,thick fruit powder,strong sweet and sour flavor,early maturity,long harvesting period and high heat-resistance. It can be well cultivated in south subtropical mountainous area.
