A New Triploid Pear Cultivar‘Huaxiangsu’

Abstract: ‘Huaxiangsu’is a triploid pear cultivar resulted from crossing between‘Sha 01’and ‘Naguoli’. The tree is vigorous and spreading. The average weight per fruit is 180 g. The fruit is characterized by obovate shape,yellowish-green skin covered with occasional red blush toward the sun,milky white flesh,crisp,fine texture,juicy,high quality with sweet,slight aromatic flavour and good storability. The soluble solids content is 13.54% and the titrable acid content is 0.13%. The fruits ripen in mid-September in Xingcheng City,Liaoning Province. The developmental period of pear extends up to 140 days from fruit set. The production in full fruit period is 39 000 kg ? hm-2. It’s more resistant to cold and pear scab.
