A New Walnut Cultivar‘Lumian 1’

Abstract: ‘Lumian 1’is a new walnut cultivar selected from the seedlings of‘Jizhaomian’in Jinan，Shandong. The nut is round and the average nut weight is 15.0–17.3 g. It is easy to take out the whole kernel for degraded dissepiment. The kernel rate，total fat and protein content are 46.2%，70.5%–72.0% and 18.8%–20.3% respectively. The fruits mature in late August in Jinan. The yield is 3 013.5 kg • hm-2 in the tenth year after grafted.
